great machine...just remember to give it a good oiling before you start...it has been sitting idle for a long time....even that big medal rod at the bottom needs some lubrication.....vital for the metal parts to run smoothly....and it will probably last longer than any of the new ones nowadays..........have fun......and oil and remove lint frequently........

You're so lucky to receive all that! I do a lot of sewing and quilting, but my favorite machine is the one I bought 47 years ago and it is an ADLER model 134. IT is a workhorse and will sew anything, including right over straight pins and many layers of fabric. It has cams that make beautiful stitches. I can almost sew with my eyes closed, I've used it so much. I've taken very good care of it and it's only been in the machine shop for repairs one time! The repairman said I should never trade it in because it's one of the best ever made!
