Took the machine to a repair shop. They looked it over and determined there was too much rust and it wasn't repairable. I almost cried.

Quiltingnd -- post that machine in the vintage division. It would be interesting to hear what some of the people there who have worked on the Pfaff 130 say about it. I have one, but it has never needed any repairs -- at least since I have owned it. It came to me from a farmer in ND who bought it at an estate sale, because his wife wouldn't let him use her plastic machine. He made denim quilts for his grandkids and for charity. Great machine!

That Pfaff looks like the one my mom still uses. I learned how to sew on it about 45 years ago.

That's a beautiful quilt! Love the colors and hand quilting.. My taste runs to antique or vintage quilts made with whatever was available at the time.. and the more different fabrics and brighter colors always make my heart race..

And a little aside, but somewhat along the same line: I love to see a man swagger... Mine does it often for me....
and I adore him!
