On my way home from shopping I passed a house sale, I did the U-turn thingy and went in....Most everything was gone that I would have liked...but I "just had to look" in the pile of linens and blankets..and there she was....intact except for the border. I geared myself for the "how much is this" conversation, only have $15.00 left in my pocket. The lady said "oh, that old thing. It's got rust all over it. You can have it for $1.00". I almost lost my breath, got out my dollar and left. I got the brown spots out with oxyclean...don't think it was rust;, washed her on gentle, put her in the dryer for 10 min and hung her to dry. Isn't she great?????

Beautifull work, pretty quilt. Thank-you for adopting it and saving it from death in a landfill. It is too bad not everyone has the passion for quilts. I am glad there are those of us who do.

I am just drawn to that pattern. Does someone know the name of the pattern?

I'll do a new border. I do plan to use it when my great grand daughter comes to stay. So pretty .... and pink.

Terrific! What are you going to name her? "Lucky Day"?
