    Wow! How pretty is that? Also, with a good coat of polyurethane, would make a nice table accent...for hot dishes, etc. Or just decoration. Many possible uses. Nice find!

    Your find is called Marketry. Inlaid pieces of wood set into a solid backing. A lost art. Good find.
