    What a wonderful discovery and you are so fortunate to have this treasure made by his grandmother. I know some members of my family quilted, but Mom's quilts were totally utilitarian and didn't survive 7 kids, but I do have a pair of pillowcases that my Mom embroidered. She taught me to embroider when I was 6 years old; and sewing a few years after that. I have some wonderful memories of those times.

    I'd be jumping for joy if this was sent to me!! I love it and what a wonderful memory that will last for generations to come. Beautiful work done on the quilt. Thanks for sharing.

    The only one I can think of as owner of this quilt would be you - if not mine. I l-o-v-e it. It looks like it
    was done with cotton and is very soft.
