Your find is beautiful. -- I have made 2 quilts from polyester doubleknit 30 years ago. They have held up to great abuse. The backing has not held up. Replaced the backing on the first one 3 times and the 2nd one is in the process of being repaired. My lesson is to use a durable backing - polyester blend maybe. My daughter has the first one and uses every night. And they say they out grow the 'blanky'. She is 38 yrs.

To be honest, I'm not one for polyester so I was toying with the idea last night of recreating the quilt in cotton and then selling the original polyester one.
