When I was small my DM had a ironing board cover just like that. Seeing yours brought back a lot of memories.

`If that cover material is heavy and dense, looks alot like pillow ticking I used to have. and it is very pretty.
    You did a great job.

I need a new ironing board, I have mine for 39 years and fight with it always, it's unsteady, the covers are too small and won't stay on. Does anyone know of a good ironing board to buy???

I don't understand about the freezer paper. What is the purpose? Does it stick to the fabric on the board? How does it make a difference during ironing?
The ironing board cover is very nice and I also noticed a package of cookies. Yummy!
