I am very impressed with the beautiful quilts but I am not at all surprised that your mother is such an excellent quilter. Once an artist - always an artist!

    Let's have some more!

All the quilts are awesome - but that word does not even describe how wonderful they are. The are all beautiful and impressive. I just can't even imagine doing this level of work - so complicated... Wow!!

Boy, what fantastic quilts. I would never have the patience to do ones like that. Gorgeous. I am so glad you and your mother now have something in common. My mother died when I was 24, 53 years ago, long before I was quilting. But the last year of her life she brought out and gave me 18 dresden plate blocks, and the pieces for the other two, and said she had made those while she was carrying me. So I do have something from her.

In my quilt group we have a lady who is now 96years young and she only started about 10 years ago.
There are also several who have passed the 80 years mark who make great quilts.
Not all of them started to sew until they retired. So you are right-- you are never too young to learn
to quilt or anything else either.
