    well actually she's the daughter of my dear friend but we call each other niece and aunt.

    any way she's 4 (she'll be 5 in 2 months) and she made this table runner and 8 placemats for her mother's birthday next month.

    i did all the rotary cutting and i only worked the pedal on the sewing machine because she couldn't reach the pedal.

    she fed the fabric thru the sewing machine and kept an excellent 1/4 seam.

    its a cheater fabric (she didn't sew the hexagons) but i'm still really proud of her.

    i made the log cabin quilt to give to her mom for her birthday. its from the same fabric line so everything matches.

    i'll do all the quilting - she said that she wasn't ready yet for quilting.



    placemats - she made a total of 8

    Great job by your niece, very impressive for a 4 year old!
    Love the paisley fabric in the log cabin, very pretty.
    Also - cute helper in the log cabin pic! :D
