I was so proud of my cute little miniature block, keychain and pillow that I took them to town with me yesterday to show everybody. I went to the quilt/fabric store and showed them to my friends. Now the quilt store is going to save all their scraps for me. She gave me one small bag that she already had.

Then I stopped by my MIL to show her. She loved them! She'd never seen any mini's and just kept laughing and saying I Love Them! Then she told me that she used to keep all her scraps when she was quilting, which she doesn't have time for right now. So she took me to the shed and we dug out her totes and "Lookie what I Got!!!" She gave me all of her little and not so little scraps!!! I'm in heaven!

Nice! Now what are you going to make? Do you have any pieces big enough to make another Carpenter's Star? You make such nice ones. :D

I have tons of material that is big enough to make Carpenter's Stars. I'm trying to finish up My Current Project and play a little with mini's before I start anything else. I already got carried away and made some Kaleidoscopes with the templates that I got from Rhonda.

Rhonda explained to me 2 nights ago how to make a Kaleidoscope as I'd never made one before. I made a few and decided to make a wall hanging out of them. I'll probably get it finished today!

As for the scraps, there's enough here to make hundreds of mini projects, after I pull out all of the large pieces, squares and everything else that is already cut. Thanks Quilter 7x.

Monday night Rhonda told me how to make a Kaleidoscope with the template that she'd sent me. I'd never made one before and it was on my list of things I'd like to learn. So..... I made some K's and I'm making a wall hanging out of them now. After I finish it, probably today, I'll make some more mini's. I have to make something "mini" for my MIL as she just loved them and she gave me all her scraps!
