Default Loretta Crites "Quilt Coloring Fun" Class

I took my first Zoom quilt class last week. This class project was done using plain old coloring pencils and a textile medium. It was more complicated than I anticipated, but I think it came out cute.

That is adorable! And the quilting around the drawing really brings it out.

That looks great. I love the way you did your quilted borders, really sets off the painted part.

This is really super cute and I am interested in this technique. I must go research it. Thank you for sharing.

Love your cute design and fabulous quilting. I did this years ago using "water color pencils" and clear Aloe Vera gel from Walmart to set it. The gel moistens the pencil, but because of its consistency, it doesn't allow it to bleed further into the fabric. I can't remember the name of the author of the book I bought that used that technique, sorry. Also not sure if it would be colorfast if washed, but could certainly be used for a wall hanging, if you want to try it.
