    Love the quilt.

I just FMQ'd the word 'Sudoku' on another quilt and it came out fine on the practice piece but not as good on the actual quilt. I wish I'd thought of printing it on freezer paper and sewing over it! Oh well, you live and learn! :? :D

Girly enough for me ... pink all over the place!
How did you do the border?
I think you did a great job on the hearts.

The pattern is in the Judy Martin book but it's basically long and short logs laid alternately to give a ribbon effect; :D

Well I just found my next pattern! WOW-that is a beautiful girly quilt. How did you find Judy's patterns? I am on her newsletter e-mail list and have always been in awe of her designs, surveyed her future book entries, but never made one of her quilts.
I have 6 grandaughters who would love this scrappy heart-log cabin quilt.

Susie the pattern came from Judy's book Log Cabin Quilts. Here's a link http://www.amazon.com/Judy-Martins-C...6629335&sr=8-1 :D

Thanks for the information. Did you find the instructions to be clear and at an intermediate level? I have so admired her work but feel intimidated.

Hmm - well I found them fairly clear - it's organising all the different size pieces that takes some doing. I've just bought some cheap cutlery trays as she suggests to keep the logs in, ready for when I try the Snake River queen size! :D
