I think it is really girly. If the recipient doesn't think so, you can always add eyelet lace on the white borders. Some girls just want lace. Just my honest opinion for what it's worth.

Thank you, I could have done that indeed BUT this was a thread I posted last Christmas and someone revived it (not that I mind!). The little girl has had the quilt for a full year now and STILL loves it. :-D
