    You're a wonderful friend :) Love the quilt and the story behind it but am very sorry for your loss.

    Beautiful quilt! I agree it was very thoughtful of the family to return the quilt to you. I hand made a shawl for my mother and she loaned it to a friend when she visited her in the hospital. A spur of the moment thing when the friend told her how she felt 'exposed' waiting to be returned to her room. It was never returned and I spent many hours on the circular shawl. Hopefully someone is enjoying it! My mother sees them at church and no one wears it and it has never been mentioned. I hope they did not give it to goodwill with the rest of her clothes.
