    I didn't know there was a right and a wrong way to do it. I think it looks great. I think the border looks awesome. You should show a pic of the finished quilt to the ladies in the quilt shop. I say if the person who is receiving the quilt loves it then it's not wrong.

    DIL will love the quilt. The fabrics are wonderful and the quilting, oh, my, words escape me.

    I have done many log cabins just as you have.... never once have I thought I did it "wrong". You quilt is beautiful! There is NOTHING wrong !

    Thank you everyone !!! I took it to the LQS and showed it finished. They said they liked it, they are very nice there. And sometimes it's nice to hear their truthful opinion and not just say yeah to make a sale. My opinion was just different keeping in mind who it was for. :D

    umm..umm.. your quilt is GORGEOUS - and you think that the darks, and lights got turned wrong? Thinking not... this is so pretty. :lol:

    Beautiful quilt. I don't think you did it wrong. I have made log cabin quilts from patterns in books and they call for them both ways. And I kept making them wrong and ended up with two quilts

    Been doing log cabin blocks for several and don't understand what you mean about them being backward. Could you explain??
