    Oooooh, I grew up on a cattle ranch in Oregon and took the gkids there on a summer trip (someone else owns it now).... The reaction was mixed between WOW and "hmmmm". Your quilt is so full of memories for me (you didn't get the barn just right and where are the herfords???). Now I feel that I NEED to do some sort of quilt that would express those years of driving cattle (I usually rode drag, tapping the babies with my larriet to keep them moving) branding, winter feeding, etc., etc. Your quilt is a wonderful expression of the family farm (or ranch) as it used to be. Thanx so much for sharing it. You've shown me what to do!!!!

    there was no pattern, i did it out of my had and coloring pages, i live on long island, ny no farms or barns around herer to go look at, Now water, i can tell you about.
