I just appliqued the edges to the black fabric. when you have it all done, keep the same design don't cut or use have hexes. just applique it to the borders, I cut mine 6" and about 1 1/2" is under the hexes. I wanted to make sure it was covered. it needs to be quilted yet. I think I may have Charisma quilt it.. too much for my hands to do the hand quilting on it. I'm now onto a 1" hes, these were 3/4" hexes, and the crasiness of it put me up to do 1" ones next. the next one is a GFG. I can't wait to finish that.
Do you think I should put some hexes on the border?

Nice job Lynnie. I love what you've created. Thanks for explaining how you did the borders. I could "see" how you did it. I vote for no on the hexi's in the borders. I think right now it makes a nice frame for your quilt. Look forward to seeing what you decide. Have fun on your next one.

there are no two fabrics alike in this quilt. I received fabric from a lot of people on the board and just want to give them credit and thank them for all the fabrics you sent to me. I wouldn't have been able to do it all without you. I love having a pieces of fabric from fellow board members in my quilts. I'm collecting fabrics from friends to have in this next quilt too. just started it, but it goes fast.

Lynnie you did a wonderful job on this Hexie Quilt. I love all those different colors and patterns in the Hexies. I like the black border too. There is a lot of work in doing one of these for sure. Great Job!
