Thank you for the great comments. I have been checking out the sites all of you mentioned with no luck.

I am still in need of a big star for the center.
I am still looking for alternative ideas.

the stars were so easy to make with Jelly rolls.

You can get designs at www.digitechembroidery.com. They also have this site: www.digitechdesigns.com Also Oregon patchworks.com sells individual designs too. Hope this helps.

holy cow! I had my morning coffee checking out this site for quilting patterns. they have EVERYTHING!

I found a mariners compass set and single item. I may have to do this "free motion" style but no worries.

there is so much more here. Is making a project to fit a quilt design allowed?
