My DH constantly surprises me with innovative ideas and I think he's not even paying attention to what I'm doing. If your DH would share how he did that I could leave the info laying around and I'd bet my hubby would start thinking about it. I just can't justify spending the kind of money that it requires for a long arm, but the bigger my quilts get the harder it is to do on my little trusty Pfaff.

Ok. I have taken 24 pictures of the parts, and the whole shebang put together. I need to help my brother with a resume, then I'll get measurements, do a little "write up", and post all here.

Oh - thank you - you have made my day - possibly my year in actually getting a frame that is reasonable. I also have the same sewing machine you have and really like the Sapphire - have had for 3 years and it is my work horse.

    Thanks again

    Thanks so much for sharing.
As for the extra pole for your Flynn. Go to Home Depot or Lowe's (really any Hareware store will do) ask for conduit. Best part they will cut it the size you need. Just make sure they don't dent the ends. When you measure for the length, make sure you allow for the extra on each side. I have extra sets for twin/throw, standard/queen and extra long for King.
Also, when you get the extra pipe, make sure you remove the little round piece at the end of you Flynn connection. It should show this on the video.

Yes, I bought my metal conduit at Home Depot, three pieces 10' long. That's included in the price, as is the Flynn frame kit (just the ends, not the shorter fibre glass rods for smaller quilts and hangings. Off to find the measuring tape.

Hi. I have a Handi-Quilter that used but I would really LOVE to have something like this. I love this set-up. What a wonderful husband you have!
