    I understand your instructions. Two questions. What type of batting are you using? Can you do the same on cotton? your material looks like satin.

    I use an original synthetic batting(available in several thicknesses). Try, which is the best for you. Can do the same for other materials, depending on what the intention(bag, wall hanging, pillow...) I used denim, cotton, other colored fabric, with other colored thread! Good job!(This method can be used, when the pattern is quite complicated. In such a case "do not work" the traditional method: cutting the batting).
