Now that is great. My son-in-law does sewing as well and when I came out to Spain he begged me to give him my old sewing machine. He couldnīt quite get to grips with it but he hand sews all the buttons and mends things too, Afraid my daughter would rather put a safety pin in than sew the button on. think its because she is left handed and when I showed her she said it didnīt make sense to her. She is very creative in other ways though

Bev, How cool is that! Maddy's dad used to embroider when he was little. Someday I will run across those pieces and Maddy can make him a quilt.

I want to extend a very special THANK YOU to everyone that helped Maddy with her stash, I will be busy cutting squares for her for our next project. She is going to make her daddy a surprise for his birthday. Thanks for the little extras books, magazines and things for grandma's stash aslo. Thanks again Elle for the lovely dress! She will always remember all those packages and I am going to get a scrap book started for her with the letters and pictures. She asked me to say Thank You saying " grandma they don't know me but sent me lots of pretty stuff. Thank you!" I say we start a thread with little sewers!!
Thanks again for your kind generosity!

DITTO! It's great that Maddy is learning that making is so much better than buying. To many kids these days think they have to buy gifts for someone to like it.
