Absolutely! Add a little bottle of bubble bath, piece of chocolate candy, etc. I'd love to get something like that from a good friend.

Karen did you do the majority of this on your machine, with the exceptions of the beads of course. I'm assuming the cords were sewn by hand when formed into the basket. That is so cute, and there are so many things one could use these for. Thanks for sharing.

With the exception of sewing the handles onto the basket, sewing the yoyo's and the beads on, everything was done on the machine. Even the very center of the basket where I started it all. Once a significant portion of cord is wrapped with fabric you start coiling it tightly with your hands. (you can use pins to hold it in place) Then once it reaches about 2 inches in diameter or so you place it under the pressure foot and sew an "x" through the center to hold everything in place. Once that is done then you start at the center and start using a zigzag stitch and slowly sew (in a circle) one cord next to the other so that the zigzag stitch is connecting both cords together.

I've started another basket and am taking pictures as I go along. If it all works out I will try to post a tutorial. I've not done one before so I'm hoping I do okay!
