I made these yesterday and finished then last night for my daughter and I and now I think my sewing machine is broke..... It won't go up and down and the hand wheel won't turn, it's like it's stuck or something   We tried to fix it but it's best we take it to the shop. I hope it's an easy fix and inexpensive. Just when I was getting the sewing itch the darn machine freezes.

Lovely bags. Sorry your machine quit. I have 2 machines so I will always have a spare while the other is in the shop.

beautiful!!!! Sorry about the machine. We had laptop computer that did something similar.....just when we went on the road for the winter, it quit working. Took it to be repaired and it was just dust in the fan....cost us $60.00 but was FAR cheaper than a new one. Hope you have the same fortune!!!

Gorgeous bags. Maybe a stupid question, but have you simply tried cleaning and oiling?

Thank you all! I am so happy with the outcome but I'm still learning how to sew the handles properly.

I normally clean the bobbin area after I start a new project. So this morning I did that and when I went to turn the hand wheel it didn't move. Grrrr. I called a place and they are not sure if it's covered under the warranty but it will cost $99. The machine is the Brother SE-350. Is there any tips on how to make it move?

I do have lots of spares, LOL the FW's and the 301. I guess it's time to start using one of them, I mean learning how to use :) I am use to the luxury of pressing the button and letting it sew, now I'll have to step on the pedal. Oh well... Life goes on....
