    LOL ... my dear Ninnie!
I know nothing - - I am just liking red with blue and white a lot <g>.
That is an impressive quilt, and ... I really liked your photographing of all the steps and explanations.
I have never cut a complete quilt before I did the two victory quilts I did last year. For the record, it is a lot of fun to just be able to pick up a baggy and sew, isn't it?
And, I never make a mistake  I do however create a lot of seeds for more quilts, if you get my gist <g>

We are getting near the end now!! I have all the outside sashing rows on.
I have to stand on top of the coffee table in my den to get a picture.  Glad there is no one here taking a picture of that  I did prick my finger once with a straight pin and draw blood, but didn't let it drip on the quilt!! :D :D And , while cutting threads, i cut my finger with the scissors   Just a little nick, no harm done.
So, here she is with all the sashing finished. Now we just need the borders, White and Navy. Hope to do them this week! :D :D

Thanks guys, it feels like I have been working on it forever, but it's only been about 2 months. Can't wait to get it into the frame and sit down and quilt some. Hope I remember how!
this is a quilt that I would enjoy doing again, which I have never made the same pattern twice before. Maybe after the first of the year.
