No offense intended to anyone, I think that those type quilts are beautiful too. I did work very hard on this piece, all I have is a regular Kenmore sewing machine that is 40+ yrs old, a card table with my alto quiltcut2 on it, and limited space to work, so it is difficult to work on a piece this size, it measures 75" x 100". Not going to tackle another one this size for a long long time! Love doing throws, couch-size blankets, and baby quilts!
Look at the heritage quilts ..... no long arm stitching and filled with whatever they had available, used or new.
You have one precious and beautiful quilt!
ENJOY it !!!!!
.... and put your brain on IGNORE for those who are quilt ignorant!

I think it is simply stunning. There are no quilt police so who cares if it doesn't conform to the traditional quilting methods!! It is beautiful! I have always wanted to make a dresden plate quilt. I just bought the template for it this week. After the 30 other projects I have left to do this one is next!!
