    Default Mama's Iris-istible Comfort

    The second quilt I made was after having taken an applique class. My sister's husband has been very ill and is now completely bedridden. It just breaks my heart seeing her dealing with this. When our mother passed away, my sister was the first one over to her home to remove her valued Irises which Mama had treasured. She has been the keeper of them ever since....7 years now. When I started to get into quilting, this sister, experienced quilter, gave me many tips, a whole lot of encouragement and basically, my biggest cheerleader and fan. So, I secretly made this quilt for her:
