I wish my FMQ is as good as yours. I can't even do the feathers yet only the stippling. I will have to try on the next quilt I do that will show the quilting off like yours did. Well Done.

Love this quilt. I'm a "star" block fan and love to make them. I would love to have the pattern if it is available.

It's based on the pattern in Star Happy Quilts, by Judy Martin

I am just loving your star design and the colours, but your free motion quilting is in another dimension itself. It is fantastic. Cannot believe you accomplished this - am i correct in saying that you did it on a normal sewing machine? How long is your machine arm length to needle? Wonderful it really is. 3 weeks worth. I am not surprised you are REALLY HAPPY - my gosh, i would be flying high.

Yes I did! On a completely normal Janome 6600 - the harp length is 9 ins.
It's a king size, but I had a table in front of the machine table to the wall, and a stack of boxes etc at the left hand of me to support the quilt.
I did STID around all the blocks first, which are 12 ins. Then I just worked on one block at a time - then started the next one.
I worked from the middle out to sides, so the most I had scrunched up in the harp was half the width, decreasing with every block I worked.
It was daunting, but once I'd got the first few blocks done I really enjoyed it.
    Here it is being done
