Oh, how beautiful! This gives me great hope for what I might be able to do some day with my Elna 7300, which is about the same as the Janome 6600. But I will need lots and lots more practice.

Oh thank you all so much for wonderful comments - I have to admit when I making the sandwich I did wonder if I had bitten off too much.
I should have said "my 6600 and I" did it, because I bought this machine specifically to be able to do my own quilting - I think the 6600 is a great machine!
I dont think I could have done an "all over" fmq with the weight, but if you look, it is literally one block at a time. So once you have puddled the quilt around the quilting area - forget about the rest of it, just concentrate on one block at a time. I worked a quarter of the quilt from the middle at a time.
And yes I do "practise" alot, on scrap sandwiches, and pencil and paper too!

Thank you! Quilters Dream Blend 70/30 - I use mostly their products. Dream Blend is great, you can quilt up to 12" apart or closely, and it remains soft. Shrinkage is nil.

It is very pretty, I am amazed that you did that quilting all by hand, I can't get my SID quilting to look that good!

No, wasn't by hand - would have taken me about 10 years or more. Was on a Janome!
