    It's looking great. For pieced borders I was taught to measure the pieced borders, then cut the inside border to fit.

    Well, I've put about 60-35 hours into this so far.... I've just been working all day on this, so while it is going together in a relatively short time, I'm still spending lots of hours on this thing...lol
    Well, the hard part is done, now I just have to put two more plain borders on it, and assemble and quilt.

    Ok, finished top.

    It looks funny because it's displayed on a double bed, sorry I don't have a single in my house


    I think I'm going to find a fancy script and embroider her initials in the center part...

    That turned out so beautiful. It's touching, too, that you are giving it to someone who really needs the love and comfort that a quilt can give. Wish I could be there when it's presented to her.

    Me too. She lives in New Brunswick, so I won't get to be there when my in-laws give it to her, but I hope they take pics.
