    Default Mariner's Compass Qlt Done

I started this Mariner's quilt as a bom back in 2010. Finished the top in about 14 mos., then got so busy with everyone else's quilts, it was put on a back burner until recently. The backing was my very first quilt top (log cabin) made even before I knew what to do with it! LOL! It was supposed to be a colonial blue color scheme, but came out more in a grey scale so was put aside. My DH suggested I back the Mariner's with the other top and so it wouldn't go to waste. So first and 3rd quilt tops are combined. I'm trying to get better and more complex with my quilting, so took a couple of close ups of certain blocks. Hope I can get them in as well.

Your Mariner's Compasses are fantastic! Such great movement, and colors. Nice that you could use the Log Cabin one for the back. Reversible quilts are fun!

Beautiful! I know how time consuming getting all those points on can be and you've done a great job!
