First off - you will be in my prayers for a quick recovery! Second - the quilt is beautiful and I wouldn't want to mail it either. Thanks for sharing and "hang in there"

Dear girl! You've made a gorgeous quilt. I can hardly imagine working on this with all you have to deal with. My family and I will be praying for God's best for you. Please keep us updated on your progress in healing and post some pictures of the completely finished quilt. Your sister is so blessed!

The quilt is beautiful to be sure. 18 years ago I had similar surgery with 35% chance of reoccurrence within 2 years. That was 18 years ago and I am still clear. Do hope your surgery is as successful as mine and that your recovery is very swift and complete.

God Bless, I know your sister will be so happy to have your quilt and will really appreciate your hard work during such a difficult time.

The quilt in your Avatar is beautiful!!! Hand quilted???!!! Oh my word!! No I am not able to hand quilt anymore. I wasn't ever very good at it & only hand quilted small projects (years ago). I will be machine quilting it for sure!! :D I admire anyone who can do it!! Did you post a photo of it on the board??

It does my heart good to hear these success stories!! That is so wonderful!!
My sister has been getting update photos of her quilt (work in progress) all along. She loves it so far. Tomorrow I'll try to get the borders finished & then take a picture of it & post it. I have part of the borders done but I may have to post a photo on Sat. depending on what I can get done. :D

I really like the saw tooth edging around each block - very much in - keeping with the 'feel' of the compass design, and it stops it from looking unfinished.A very nice example.
