    yep, paper pieced. It was pretty complicated to figure out since I'd never done any before, and these had to follow the same curve as my compass. It's far from perfect, but if I had to do it again, my flying geese would be much better.

    What if I did something like this for the quilting, trace the circles onto the back and stitch along the lines....

    Melanie I like those circles for your quilting design, however I also think that with the compass....its sooo beautiful, sometimes it just makes it sing when you quilt in the ditch on that design., then do something spectacular outside the circle of geese. Just MHO...whatever you decide, it will be fantastic I'm sure!
