    It was a project in our group and we used old X-ray sheets. Took the black off with methylate spirit and then put the cut out square - 12 1/2" - on a certain picture point on the fabric and marked special spots, lines with a marker, cut out the square and just looked for those same marked spots on another part of the material, cut again, etc.... and erase the marks with methylate spirit again to make a new picture and then just cut the 12 1/2" in 4 squares and then adjust them to make a good kaleidoscope. I'm sure you can do it Good luck and I'm looking forward to see your quilt
