Boy what a find!!! I got a deal about a year ago at a sale. I got all kinds of yarn, wool fabric and cotton. The guy didn't have a clue what to charge so I got it for 10 dollars. Couldn't believe it. Then I found a fabric shop going out and she had plain poplins for 50 cents a yad and cottons 1.00. Got 90 yds or so for 40 dollars. There are bargains out there>

Well, did I misjudge! The husband who was sitting in the garage said his wife used to work at JoAnnes, and never brought anything home but material. He's much happier now that she is working at Target and willing to get rid of all this stuff.

I spent $35 and got 49 yards of good quality material! That's about $0.71 per yard! And only the turtles one doesn't feel top quality! Will go back on Saturday afternoon and see if she has anything left and has cut her prices!
    You GO girl, lucky find!

Not sure yet...still washing the material. But I am sure some child will love the bright construction vehicles, shoes, Geckos, and turtles, while the others will find their way into adult quilts or purses. I know the flag materials will be used on quilt tops for the wounded soldiers and sent to AmericanHeroQuilts.com
What a wonderful thing, to find such a bargin and then donate to wounded soldiers. Maybe someone should start a challenge to everyone here to do 1 wounded soldier quilt. With all the members think of the soldiers that could be wrapped in quilting love by the end of the year!!

There really is hope for those of us who never find anything. You are an inspiration and I'll just keep yard saling and hoping.

OOOH I love the flags! I have been doing "quilts of valor" for vets who are in the veteran's home nearby. It would be great to use for that as well as a lot of patriotic themed things. Lucky find!
