I guess I'm one of the very few people on here that's never made or even has the pattern for a bow-tucks, but I sure do love Maxine. Believe it or not I used to work with a woman that looked EXACTLY like Maxine and had the same type of biting wit. Every time I read or see Maxine I hear Opal's voice. LOL One of her favorite sayings was, "Oh good grief! Go away, you're making my teeth itch!" I just loved that old woman but she surely was cantankerous.

I got the Bow Tucks Tote pattern on ebay for $9. I changed it a bit, I made the outside part the same size as the lining instead of making the top and bottom parts (it's only one piece on the front and one on the back).

Have you checked out the QB Tutorial by knlsmith? That might help you get it done quicker. I like your bag. Love Maxine. Really cute.
