That is soooo sweet! He's such a cute little boy! I bet it made you so happy and proud to have him like it sooo well.
Great job on the quilt and on making that little boy very happy!

Thanks everyone for the great responses. He is a cutie, but I may be a bit partial. He's an only child, the only granchild on one side of his family and only boy on the other. The potential is there for him to be spoiled by all the attention and gifts, but his parents have worked to teach him to be grateful and I think it has taken hold.

His mom and I grew up together, so she's like a sister to me; hence, honorary nephew. The bed came from his dad's family, and has been used by several family members.

We used the JD theme because his dad's parents live on a farm. When he looked at it he said "This is like Gum and Paw's tractor!" He loves to see the garden grow.

Thanks again for all the nice comments. We hope to post more finished and gifted quilts soon.

    Darren

Doesn't that just turn your heart to mush? Such a delightful and handsome boy. He will surly treasure this gift forever and think of you both when he is all cuddled up safe and warm in it.
