I have just finish this for my SIL for Christmas, she loves coffee and when I saw the kit for I though of her.
I stitched around each applique with normal thread so that she could use it as a table runner if she wanted and also put on an extra border to make it a lttle bigger.
I have always loved Mckenna Ryans Patterns she has such an eye for details, you can't see in the photo but there is angelica fibres used in the steam rising from the end cup of coffee which sparkles and all the letters have a shadow. I was my first McKenna Ryan and I am quite pleased with the way it turned out, the FMQ around the applique shapes is a little wonky but I will definately do another. I hope she likes it.

Hi I made this very same pattern a couple of years ago. I have mine hung on the wall in my kitchen. I am a coffee lover also. Mine does not have a border and I do like yours better because it does.
