yes, indigo is the darkest blue you can get. i wanted to go with a very dark blue to avoid dirt over time. my hope is for this quilt to be used and not to hang on a wall.

It will be loved no matter what.

My intention is to put my DJ on the wall. We have a foyer (sp??) with large high ceilings and lots of large wall space. There's a spot next to my bedroom, the sunlight does NOT hit it, so I thought it would be a great spot. I can see it every night before I go to sleep, and it will be a nice display area when guests come over.

I feel like the blocks are so small and there's so much seaming that it may get damaged if it's used too much.

thats very true, i didn't think about all the seams. i know the optical illusion quilts i make would never be comfy because of all the seams. it might end up on the wall after all.

Just called my LQS ... I may be able to get the bolt by next week!
It will probably take me ten years to use it all up, but it is beautiful ... a different kind of insurance <g>
I am sure I will be around long enough to use up all that strippy fabric.
Thank you again for the link <wave>
