I beautiful job with Rufus. He looks so real. You cannot even see the tuile. I have used it also and you cannot even see it. Your daughter should be very overjoyed with it. Lucky girl.

First of all, I just want to say that you did an amazing job of capturing Rufus in this fabric collage ... I am truly awestruck! May I ask where you learned this collage technique? A class? A book? I ask because I would like to try my hand at it. Regarding the tulle overlay:Karen Eckmeier uses a tulle overlay for her Happy Villages technique. In the workshop I took from her, she encouraged students to audition several different colors of tulle in order to find just the right one. Just a suggestion for your next collage.

Rufus came out marvelous! I made one dog picture quilt but yours is way better than mine. Thanks for sharing your issues with the dark green tulle.

Rufus looks like he could jump off of the quilt. What a great job!
