Really love that design by Blackbird... It's wonderful that you gave them to the grieving families of fallen heroes.
Memorial Day is a somber day of reflection and remembrance. Not a "happy" holiday, really. It's too bad that so many have turned it into a picnic holiday. It means so much more.

That is so special and very nice of you to do that. Thank you to all that have served and those for the ultimate sacrifice. You are remembered and loved, and shame, shame, shame to those that live in this great country of ours that dishonor this great flag of ours. SHAME.

That's the prettiest flag I've seen with fabric. And giving it out to those people is just wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
I know what Sewbizgirl means about picnics but it also makes sense to me to enjoy the day with family or friends. That's what these brave people fought for. I just wish they didn't have to give up their lives.
