Default Memories of my Dad - A Man and His Horse

As soon as I saw this photo I knew I had to do it as it was so much like a picture of my Dad that had been lost years ago. Everything was the same, his size, the color of the horse and the gentleness of the way he relates to his horse. This picture will go in my dining room with the rest of my western art. All of the fabrics have been hand dyed by me and the picture is done with the fusible applique method. Now I have to add the borders and quilt it. Also, the stripes on his shirt are painted on with a brush and textile paint. I couldn't cut stripes that small out of fabric.
