    A friend whose sister's husband had passed away wanted something made from his shirts. so this is the quilt I made for her using men's shirts

    I love the idea of making a lasting item from a loved one's clothing. I still have some of my Mom's shirts I plan to use. When I make my grandkids (4 of them) quilts I always try to put in a piece of her shirts - so she will always be with them. Sentimental I know....but my way of keeping her memory alive.

    That is priceless. I wasn't a quilter when my late husband died, something like this would have been such a treasure to have. (I kept his clothes for a long time and would hold and smell them. I'm sure others can relate.) Blessings to you for doing such a wonderful thing for your friend.
