Default Men's tie quilt done and gone

I showed this quilt top that a wonderful lady of 93 years old made and asked me to quilt for her a few weeks baclk and asked if I should hand quilt, tie or send it to the longarm. After much deliberations and with your helpful advice we opted to tie the quilt. Here is a picture of the finished product. When she looked at it, she said,"Oh, my, this is wonderful!! All the men that gave me these ties are all dead now but I remember every one!" She took it home yesterday. It made me proud! Thanks so much for all of your help and encouragement.

Super quilt with lots of memories! The tying adds to the quilt. How are the edges finished? I think I'll do this with a packet of ties that I have.

It is a wonderful quilt and a lot of work to tie it. You made the perfect choice for this quilt. I can see why she is so happy with it. Great job!

Oh she must have been so happy with that quilt! I wish I hadn't given all of Joe's ties to the Goodwill!

Before I even read the note with the photo I said to myself that tying the quilt really added character to this one
