Beautiful bag. You can buy the mesh at Lowes and probably Home Depot. It is found in the department where you would get screening for a screen sliding door. It is made especially for pets so they will not scratch/tear the regular screening. Its very reasonable, about $15 for enough to cover a sliding door drame. I have even made cosmetics from this vinyl screening. Great for the beach.

I really really like your bag. Wish it were a free pattern. I can't see buying just for one pattern and paying shipping. Plus using my charge on line for just one purchase. JMO...

I have written instructions on a paper; it has just the dimensions for each on regular typing paper with no names of companies or anything; I don't think this would be classified as a copy writed pattern. If it isn't I can tell you the sizes to cut each fabric. I will double check when I get home tonight.

The mesh looks like pet screening, you can find it at some quilt shops but it should be available at screening shops as well. Comes in several colors, mine is black

I've made a couple of these for grocery shopping and keep them in the car. Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to take them in when I shop! I made the largest size to take all my stuff to classes. I've bought the mesh at quilt shows and when I visited friends in AZ at Zoe's Trunk shop. I do find the mesh is very slippery and moves a lot when you sew it. My lines of stitching aren't the straightest because of this but for me they work just fine.
If you just want black mesh, I found pet screen at Wal Mart at a good price. Can't remember how many bags I got out of the roll but I did make one for my sis, her daughter, and me out of it for sure.

I have made these bags and I bought screening for a lot less at Home Depot etc. No, it only comes in black but the fabric gives it color. They are great baby bags abd also the beach. You don't need a pattern, just your imagination.
