    The Mexican Star quilt is really not hard at all. The part that took the longest for me was doing the fold for the curved look. This pattern is always a winner no matter what fabrics you use....just remember CONTRAST! It is beautiful in blacks, whites. and grays.

    This is on my "to do list"...very pretty..I would use the background colors for the topstitching, as to not take away from the design.

    I made one and looks very hard but the piecing goes very fast.Hand stitching the curves is what took the longest.Fun patten.

    Very effective! I like the idea of the variegated thread and a little bit of beading to subtly highlight areas of the quilt.
