    Default Mexican Star

I have just finished this Mexican Star. It was really fun to make and I like the 3D effect because of the construction. I don't usually do dense quilting but since this is a wall hanging, I decided that this time I would. I used a combination of FMQ and ruler quilting. While it is far from perfect, I am very pleased with it. As an added bonus, all of the fabric was in my stash.

This is another quilt showing a great reason for using scraps. It's amazing. Love the stars, and nice quilting.
I am working on a quilt for me and hubby using from my past stash of scraps.
