This started out to be a specific pattern, but when I had about 2/3 of the blocks sewn, I realized I'd put them together wrong. This is a throw about / t-v / truck quilt, so decided it would just turn into a patchwork. This is what resulted. The outer blue is going to be the backing. It is fleece and I will use it for binding also.
I was pushed to get it finished before knee replacement surgery tomorrow. Still have to do the quilting.

Great quilt, love the way you used the colors. I;m sure he is going to love it.

Good luck on your surgery, am in the first weeks of my second knee replacement. Thank goodness I have only two knees. The secret to recovery is doing your physical therepy and continuing the exercises. I made a scrappy couch throw before my surgery and have hand quilted it during my recovery period. Helps pass a lot of time and can still do what you love.

My prayers will be with you, it is a painful process and healing is slow.

Let us know how you are doing as you go along.

Michael's school colors are yellow and blue, so that is where the color combo came from.

I just browsed through all of the postings on Tim's Star BOM --it is really interesting to see how different people interpret the same block. Sure are some stunning blocks on that discussion "string".
