I'm impressed that you did one for a plate--how big did you make the "square"? I made bowl holders, but the pattern I have (but didn't use cause way to complex for the purpose) had a big bowl (vegetable bowl size), but I thought a plate holder would be very useful--just couldn't figure out how exactly to do it.
