These bowls are so cute and will be perfect for a couple of my friends "that have everything". My question to you is......where did you find 100% cotton and should I use some Insulbrite?

I had some left over Warm and Natural batting, which is 100% cotton, but they don't make it anymore. Pellon has a 100% batting product that is specifically made for microwave items...forget the name, but I picked it up at Joann Fabrics. My LQS also had 100% cotton batting....Dream Cotton. I had mostly Sulky and other polyester threads, so I had to get find 100% cotton thread. I don't think Insulbrite would work as it has foil or metallic material in it to shield the heat, so that would never work in a microwave.

Digitabulist....You are so right about the Insulbrite. I had not thought of that. Thank you. I am thinking of using some craft batt that I have that is 100% cotton. I assume I can wash this bowl? I might have to look for some of that Pellon batting from Joann's. It would be good to have on hand since most people use the microwave all the time.

Batting is called "wrap & zap" by Pellon.

I love these things, they are definitely on my to do list. I even have the fabric picked out, just need to get the time to work on this project. Love the fabric you used.
