    I made both sides up as I went along. I knew I wanted to use the 3-inch paper pieced hearts from Carol Doak but needing to make the skirt larger, it took on a life of its own after that. I found the crocheted lace in a Goodwill baggie of sewing things I bought some time ago and bought the 1/4-inch ribbon to go through it.
